Aliso Viejo, October 22, 2019 — ThinkIQ announced that it has appointed Dhruba Kalita as its new Chief Technology Officer. In his new role, Kailta will draw on 30+ years of experience to expand ThinkIQ’s product strategy and vision.
Kalita is an accomplished leader, well-versed in applying innovative technology solutions to real-world business problems. He has extensive qualifications in software development life cycle (SDLC), as well as offshore and onshore development management. His remarkable 30-year career includes extensive experience working with Fortune 500 companies and the management of global operations challenges in various regions, including North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
Kalita also has a proven track record of building startups; his last five ventures have been successfully acquired by Trimble, PGi, Roper Industries, CMOS & Rediff. He serves as an advisor to startups in the technology, strategy, and operations industries, and most recently served as CIO & Senior VP of Products & Engineering at Gehry Technologies. Kalita holds a BS in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and an MS in Computer Science from Arizona State University.
“I’m very excited to join the incredibly talented team at ThinkIQ, and to have the opportunity to make an impact on the company’s next chapter,” said Kalita.
Kalita’s appointment is ThinkIQ’s latest push forward in an eventful year that included the appointment of a new VP of Business Development and sponsorship of a smart manufacturing dialogue at UCLA alongside industry giants like Deloitte, Microsoft, UCLA, and CESMII. With cutting-edge innovation and the help of a strong technology team, ThinkIQ continues to improve its software platform, which uses traditional and IoT sensor data, advanced algorithms, and semantic modeling to automatically detect physical changes in the supply chain. The resulting data helps connect disparate systems and reveals correlations that uncover issues in the supply chain. With Kalita’s help, the ThinkIQ team expects to improve and expand its technology.
CEO Doug Lawson added, “We’re thrilled to welcome a highly qualified technology executive like Kalita, an experienced and multifaceted leader with a drive for growth, to the ThinkIQ team. Technology fuels our business, from our development roadmap activities and operational effectiveness to how we connect with customers and arm them with tools to manage their success.”
